The following message was received from Air Chief Marshal Tanvir M Ahmed, NI(M), S Bt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force

" 1. This year again, members of RAF Mauripur Association have assembled to rekindle memories of the time they spent together at what is today known as PAF Base, Masroor. Get-togethers such as this go a long way in cementing the bonds of friendship and affection amongst the members. The sprit of camaraderie and goodwill that the Association embodies is, undoubtedly, reinvigorating,  and we in the PAF acknowledge it with respect and admiration. I, on behalf of all ranks of Pakistan Air Force and on my own behalf, extend warm regards and best wishes to all members of RAF Mauripur Association on the occasion of this reunion.

2. We, on our part, remain beholden to you – the members of the Association – for making the RAF Flying Base at Mauripur, a truly memorable place for many who spent their days at Mauripur, Korangi Creek and Jiwani. You can rightfully boast yourselves of the contribution made towards the PAF during its formative years. I am glad to share with you that, owing to the sagacity, vision and dedicated endeavours of our predecessors, we have come a long way, PAF today is respected amongst the Air Forces of the World, and is all set on a course of modernisation, inspired by our interminable relation with you, we take pride in your Association, and wish you the best of opportunities and continued success in your noble endeavours."
