Where are you now?
4073687 Wally Lamb - RAF Mauripur April 1952 - April 1954 Wireless operator - ARX5 BMIU MA HF/DF, Air Traffic Control and main signals room, TC93? Would like to hear from anyone of that era, Dutch Holland, Clive Fenn, Lofty Oliver, Brian Leigh, to name just a few mailto:walter.lamb@btinternet.com Email from Craig Jallal I am researching the early years of my father John Jallal, also known as Tom Jallal or Duman Masih. He was an Indian working on the base. In 1946 he won the RAF Mauripur Flyweight Boxing Novice cup, breaking the nose of an Englishman. As a gesture of how hard the fight was the English man allowed his blood to drip into the winner's cup. The dried blood is still on the cup. Were you that boxer? Does anyone recall this boxing match?
In 1951 Tom Jallal was brought to
England by Ron Woods, who was serving on the base. Does anyone
remember my father or Ron Woods?
